Collections

The Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology conserves prehistoric, protohistoric, ancient and medieval artefacts. These remains come from excavations carried out in Monaco, the surrounding regions and further afield, or from donations.

Alongside the permanent exhibition (Hall Albert I), temporary exhibitions (Hall Rainier III) are now frequently organised to show visitors the richness and diversity of the collections.

Objects not on display are conserved and studied in a private laboratory at the Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology. All requests for studies and internships should be addressed to the Museum Management: erossoni-notter@gouv.mc.
